Investing in training is the first step in development

Description

As in most developing countries, even in Zanzibar, there are insufficient qualified medical personnel. This lowers the level of the quality of the medical services and increases the general mistrust by the people towards the hospitals and modern medicine.
The Foundation, to make up for the lack of qualified medical staff, finances projects for the training of staff, organises refresher courses, internships and bursaries.

The professional growth, through training programs, is a considerable incentive for the medical personnel and is fundamental to build one’s self esteem and safety when carrying out one’s work.
This strategy has already demonstrated its efficiency on a global scale and is providing excellent results in the continuity of the staff motivation and professionalism that are part of the project.
